Paul N. Wright Jr. "Bug Man"

Paul N. Wright Jr. “Bug Man”, 77, of Polk, passed away Thursday morning, August 17, 2023.

Paul was born in Lock Haven, PA on June 9, 1946 to Paul N. Wright Sr. and Malverda Bechdel Wright of Milesburg, PA.

He graduated from Bald Eagle High School in 1965 and then graduated from God’s Bible School and College in Cincinnati, OH. After college he was a missionary at Northwest Indiana Bible School in Alberton, MT. Upon returning to Pennsylvania he was a teacher at the Stoneboro Wesleyan School for a few years.

After working for a National Pest Control Company, he started Wright Termite and Pest Control Company in the early 1990’s. His son later joined him to continue serving the community. After retirement, he still enjoyed riding with his son, visiting with his customers and eating ice cream.

Paul enjoyed going to engine and tractor shows and was a member of many engine clubs and was the operator of the Olin Engine Pump House exhibit at Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club in Wayne, OH for many years.

Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn E. Hogg Wright of Polk; two children, Yuvonne L. Wright Martin of Palm City, FL and Paul N. Wright III of Franklin; three sisters, Nancy Fultz and Joan Haus of Milesburg, and Judy Kipe of Chambersburg; grandchildren, Paul N. Wright IV and his girlfriend Kristen Kibbe, Jeremy Anderson Jr. and his girlfriend Amber Estman, Brandi King, Nickolas Anderson, Xavier Proper Wright and three great-grand babies, Kaitlyn and Paul N. Wright V and Ashen Kustek.

Paul was preceded in passing by his parents, an older sister, Arlene Sharum, a younger brother, Mark Wright, daughter, Mary “Wright” Anderson, grandson, Brenden G. Wright, son-in-law, Stephen Martin and many friends that have gone on before him.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Ritchey, of Oak Grove Church, officiating.
