Pauline L. Jamison, age 88, formerly of Franklin, passed away September 10, 2016 at Highland Oaks in Clarion. She was born on September 3, 1928 to the late Harold John Peters and Lena May Klingensmith Peters in New Lebanon, Mercer County. Pauline was raised by her grandmother, Cleo Klingensmith, and her Aunt, Mable McCune. She graduated from Sandy Lake High School in 1949.
Pauline married her husband, Merle Jamison, on November 10, 1950; he preceded her in death in October 2003. She enjoyed going to dances with her husband and spending time with her extended family and cooking for them. She also enjoyed playing cards, sewing, and going to the senior center in Utica. Pauline was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Franklin where she served as a deacon and was a member of the Rocky Grove Ladies Auxiliary.
Pauline is survived by two sons, Edward Jamison of Greenville, SC, and Larry Jamison and his wife Ann of Limestone Township, Clarion County. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Lauren and Emily Jamison of Limestone Township, Clarion County.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandmother, aunt, and several close cousins.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Huff Funeral Home &Cremation Services 312 W. Park St. Franklin, where family and friends are welcome from 5 pm to 5:45 pm on Tuesday, September 13. A service will be held in the funeral home's chapel at 6 pm with the Reverend Barry D. Jenkins, Pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church in Franklin, officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
