Pearl L. Mahood, 91 of Grove City, passed away peacefully at 10:00 P.M. Friday January 15, 2016 at Orchard Manor in Grove City.
Born May 20, 1924 in Bullion, she was a daughter of the late Daniel J. and Elsie E. Rankin Baker.
She was a graduate of the Butler Beauty School.
Pearl was a self-employed beautician and owned Pearl's Beauty Shop in Prospect for many years. She was also the former manager of the Carriage Hill Apartments in Butler.
Previously, Pearl attended the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Butler. She was an avid race car fan.
On March 14, 1946 she married Chester D. Mahood and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1983.
Survivng are two daughters; Peggy L. West and her husband Terry of Harrisville and Sandra L. Dimon of Newport News, VA; two grandchildren, Robert Terry West Jr. and his wife Chris of Titusville and Russell Troy West and his wife Rita of Zelienople and two great-grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth West and Benaiah John West.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home 117 N. Main St. Harrisville, where family and friends are welcome from 2:00 - 3:45 P.M. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Willard Morse, officiating.
Interment will follow at Eau Claire Cemetery.
