Ralph G. Deeter

Ralph G. Deeter, 78, of Cooperstown, passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. 

The son of Gordon and Betty Myers Deeter, Ralph was born on July 3, 1946 in Titusville.

Ralph was a 1965 graduate of Titusville High School. After graduating and working on his trade, Ralph started his career with Pennzoil. He held a supervisor position and proudly held the title of Fire Chief. Ralph was a volunteer firefighter in Cherrytree Township and Oakland Township and left a lasting impact on our local fire departments. 

He was married to the love of his life, the former Pamela Shorts, on June 27, 1969. 

Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman when he had the time. He also enjoyed tinkering with old tractors in his spare time. Above all, Ralph's greatest joy was spending time with his family. 

Along with his wife, Ralph is survived by his son, Stephen Deeter, and his wife Amanda. Also surviving is his granddaughter, Dakota Deeter. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Betty Deeter. Also preceding him in death was his beloved step-mother, Mildred Kope. 

At Ralph's request there will be no visitation or services.
