Randy G. Boal

January 19, 1958 — November 20, 2024

Cochranton

Randy G. Boal, 66, of Cochranton, the man who had survived every crazy accident he'd been through previously, used the last of his nine lives on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Randy graced the world with his presence on January 19, 1958 in Titusville to his lucky parents, Wanda C. and George F. Boal, III.

He shortly attended Rocky Grove High School before adventuring out into the work force on his own, beginning by roofing for his uncle. Later Randy moved on to trucking, where he drove for family businesses and owned his own semi and independent company. In other words, he drove forever. He often joked that he drove more miles backwards than he did forward. Randy left the work force in 1992.

Randy was a devoted husband to the love of his life, his wife, the former Diana L. Deeter, who he married June 6, 1981. Diane and Randy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their children through the years. Love was the foundation of their family and their daughters fondly remember all of the conversations they had with their father about that fact.

In his early retirement year, Randy was a family man through and through. He would take fishing trips up to Canada with his wife's family and enjoyed every second he had with them. He was known to be handy with mechanics, and people would come to him whenever they needed something fixed or tinkered with. Randy was a gifted and patient teacher, showing kids the ins and outs about cars, life, basically anything a kid would ever need to know.

Randy's daughters were his life. He was a dedicated father to both of his girls, who are polar opposites. He raised Amanda as the son he never had, and Emily was his princess. When Randy had a conversation with someone, you can trust that he would bring up his daughters at least once. He would find the perfect stranger and tell them how proud he was of his children. He raised them with love, guided them to be strong and courageous in life. They'll cherish the memories of their dad's love for the rest of their lives.

His kindness touched the hearts of family members, friends, strangers, anyone he came across. If someone needed an open door and a hug, Randy was the one to give it to them. He believed everyone should feel loved, cherished, and be taken care of- and he always followed through with that.

Randy is survived by his children, Amanda Boal, Emily (Matthew) Swartz, and his bonus child, Angel Woods. Also remembering Randy are his bonus grandchildren, Ryan and Izabell Woods. Randy's memory is cherished by his siblings, Barb (Randy) Doyle, and Theresa Longwell, and his aunt, Patricia Bickel. Randy had a great bond with each of his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was the favorite uncle.

When Randy left this earth, he was greeted immediately by his wife, his beloved pets MadDog, Rocky, Rex, and grand-pup Myia. His brothers certainly met him there next; Don Boal, Brian Boal, and bother in-law David "Pud" Deeter. Randy also joined his nephew, Michael Bodien. Great niece Arianna Miller.
