Rex A. Towers, 1295 Lewisberry Rd, Lewisberry PA passed away at 12:14AM on October 17, 2011 in Camp Hill PA due to complications of heart disease.

Rex was the beloved son of Paul E. and Mary Jane Foster Towers of Franklin. He was born December 31, 1964 in the Franklin Hospital.

Rex was a former Boy Scout. He enjoyed hunting. Rex graduated from the Valley Grove Schools in 1983. Following graduation he worked at the Franklin Riverside and the Twelveth St. Diner. Rex began working at Matrix in 1984. It was there that he met his future wife; Cathy Finch; whom he married Valentine?s Day 1987 in a home ceremony officiated by Rev. Jeff Bingman.

After their marriage, Rex decided to further his education and attended Computer Tech where he received an associate degree in computer programming.

He worked for a short time for Blue Shield. He was then employed by Foot Locker as a program analyst until 2006 when he and his wife opened the Silver Lake Inn in Lewisberry. Rex was well-liked and had many friends.
Rex is survived by his parents- Paul and Mary Jane Towers; 2 sister-in-law?s-Peggy Finch Stroupe and Dotty Finch DeMarchi and her husband Larry; aunts and uncles-Ralph Foster, Margaret Harley, Clair Foster, Lucille Shawgo, Bill Foster, Lois Fehrs & Wayne Towers; many cousins; a god-daughter-Cassie Rudolph; 2 long-time special friends-Mike Rudolf & Marty Cathcart; and his dogs-Libby & Ginny.

Rex was pre-deceased by his grandparents- Ralph E. & Maude Foster and the Rev. Frank & Lucille Towers; aunts-Nancy Foster & Jean Stellman; and an Uncle Paul Foster.

A memorial service will be held in Franklin at a future date.

The family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. box 8835, Camp Hill, PA 17001 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
