Robert E. Long

Robert E. Long Sr., 61, of Georgetown Road, Polk died at 4:40 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013 at UPMC Northwest.

A son of Ruth Louise Long he was born in Reno on March 22, 1952. He attended Rocky Grove High School.

Bob was employed as a manager at Baker Transportation.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing and following NASCAR and the Pittsburgh sports teams.

On November 24, 1999 he married the former Jody Davis, who survives along with his son Robert E. Long Jr. of Erie, his daughter Rebecca Shaderline and her husband Richard and three grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan and Katelyn all of Franklin. Also surviving are a brother Terry Long of Crawfordville, FL, an uncle, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, previous wife, Darlene Beer Long, and a son Todd.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St, Franklin. from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday when services will be held in the chapel at the funeral home.

Interment will be made in the Graham Cemetery.
