Robert E. McClintock, 93 born and raised in Franklin, died at 12:50 A.M. Thursday January 31, 2013 at the Caring Place in Franklin.
Bob graduated from Franklin High School in 1939. He then worked in the office of National Fuel until he entered the Army on March 25, 1942.
He served with the 305th Infantry, 77th Division in the South pacific as an administrative NCO 502. He was honorably discharged with several bronze star medals and the Good Conduct Medal on December 5, 1945.
After returning from the service, Bob relocated to Philadelphia where he worked for The Department of Labor and Industry as an Employment Counselor. After retiring, Bob traveled extensively in Europe and the U.K. many times.
He was a member of St. John?s Episcopal Church.
Locally he is survived by a half-sister, Virginia Snyder; two nieces, Jackie Schauer and Melissa White; three great nephews; two great-great nieces and two great-great nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at St. John?s Episcopal Church in Franklin at a later date with the Rev. Holly A. Davis, Rector, officiating.
