Robert E. Ross

Robert E. Ross, 76 of 163 Infield Dr. Franklin passed away at 5:00 A.M. on Friday December 7, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Born October 14, 1936 in Franklin he was a son of the late Harry Edgar and Luella Beightol Ross.

Mr. Ross worked in many different capacities over the years, working at Paden?s Farm, construction with his Dad, the Amalie Refinery, Visco?s, and Shingledecker welding. He also worked for 18 years at CPT and retired as manager at the Evergreen Arbors. For over 20 years Mr. Ross owned and operated an inspection garage.

Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and reading.
He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed working on old cars with his friend, Rich Loomis. He was known for building dune buggies and also helping teach others how to work on cars.

Bob was a faithful member of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church.
On November 14, 1953 he married the former Dolores J. Grove and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons; Donald E. ?Butch? Ross and his wife Janet of Pelzer, SC and Robert L. ?Bobby? Ross Sr. and his wife Tamala of Franklin; two daughters, Debra A. Perrine and her Husband Richard Perrine Jr. of Franklin, and Pamela K. Freeman-Ross of Franklin; one brother, Edgar L. ?Bud? Ross of Franklin; two sisters, Patricia Tarr and Karen Dietrich of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Buddy, Kaycee, Richard, Natalia, Bobby Jr., and Dicky; ten great grandchildren, Ashley, Hunter, Brittany, Taylor, Tyler, Paige, Ricky, Finley, Dominic, and Astrie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonny Sakalousky; two brothers, Gary Ross, and Harry Ross and two grandsons, Frederick L. Ross and Garrett Freeman.

Family & friends welcome Monday from 2:00 ? 4:00 & 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Small, Pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Franklin Cemetery.
