Robert K. Kilgore, 59, of Titusville, died early Friday morning, February 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family,
A son of the late Lawrence D. Kilgore and Wynona I. "Lolly" Lane Kilgore Tarr, he was born in Franklin on May 17, 1956.
He had worked at C.P.T., a lumber yard but was primarily an auto mechanic and had worked at several area dealerships.
Bob was a "car guy". Anything automotive grabbed his interest and attention. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
On March 17, 1995 he married the former Carol Callen, she survives along with 8 children, Robert L. Kilgore of Franklin, Dale Kilgore of Seneca, Scott A. Kilgore of Cooperstown, Anita Lowrie of Rocky Grove, Shevelle Kilgore of Titusville, Ashley (Joe) Antonucci of Rocky Grove, Tyler Perry of Franklin and Dustin Coulter of Titusville and numerous grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Wynona I. "Lolly" Tarr of Polk, his step-mother Peg Kilgore of Cooperstown, a brother James (Pam) Kilgore of Beckley WV and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father James W. Tarr, a niece and a nephew.
Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St., Franklin from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Sam Wagner, associate pastor of Christ United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Graham Cemetery.
