Ruth L. Bevington

Ruth L. Bevington, 92, of 152 Elm Street, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2009 at The Caring Place,
A daughter of William James and Ida May Krepp Karns she was born in Franklin on May 23, 1917. She was a 1935 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
Mrs. Bevington was retired from Franklin Hospital in 1979.
She was a member of the Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church.
On August 2, 1936 she married Herbert J. Bevington, he died August 29, 1982.
Surviving are two sons Herbert J. Bevington Jr of Hawaii and Donald G. Bevington and his wife Helen of Hughesville, MD; two grandchildren Donald G. Bevington Jr of Charlotte Hall, MD and Karen Moye and her husband Ralph of Mechanicsville, MD and a great-grandson Keith Moye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Wayne Karns.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 6-8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Chaplain Linda Deeter of The Caring Place officiating.
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
