Sandra L. Curran

Sandra L. Curran, 64, of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday February 8, 2025. 

She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY of November 12, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Olive Marie Fleury Carman.

Sandy was an active member of Pennsylvania A.B.A.T.E. for over 25 years and enjoyed singing and throwing darts. Above all, Sandy was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She took great pride in her Chippewa heritage and was an avid collector of anything Native American, especially jewelry. 

Surviving are two children, Angela Boal and her husband Peter “Pedro” of Omaha, NE, Adam Cochran and his companion Daniela of Erie; nine grandchildren, Danny Donovan (Tiffany) of Titusville, Tasia Rae Cochran and her fiancé Izaak of Gainesville, GA, Talena Sabisch of Franklin, Gavin Cochran of Titusville, Malaya Cochran of Oil City, Isabella Hutchison of Oil City, Brianna Cochran of Cranberry, Miya Jade England of Cranberry and Austin Cochran of Cranberry; one great-grandchild, Makari Sabisch and three sisters, Zandra Boice and her husband John of NY, Mitzi Dunkelberger of NY and Lisa Lafave of FL. 

Additionally surviving is her best friend Annette Wagner and her husband Rob of Oil City, Jean Best of Oil City, Doug Wilson of Oil City and her many friends from Hazen parties and the Ven Bar of Oil City. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David Carman and Jay Carman.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. Friday. 

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel.

The family asks memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
