Sandra E. Anderson

Sandra E. Anderson, 64 of Franklin, TN, formerly of Franklin, PA, passed away on Friday August 5, 2016 at her residence.

Born May 11, 1952 in Franklin, PA she was a daughter of Nancy Ritts Stewart and the late Dale Stewart.

Sandy was a graduate of Cranberry High School and Penn State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree.

She worked for over 20 years at the former Franklin Hospital. In 2007 she moved to Franklin, TN and began working at the Vanberbilt University Medical Center Eye Institute where she worked until her passing.

Sandy was very active in the Ophthalmic Photographer Society and served in several different positions, most recently, on the National Board of Certification.

Sandy will be remembered for her very distinctive and infectious laugh. Over the years, Sandy remained extremely close with her fellow Penn State Alumni that she created friendships with in the 1970's.

Surviving is her Mother, Nancy Wentworth of Waterford; a son, Alex Anderson of Franklin, TN; a sister, Brenda Blasco and her husband Gordon of Erie; four nieces and nephews, Cynthia Payer of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan Goodwin and her husband Ed of Stratford, CT, Brad Blasco of Erie and Kristen Zacour and her husband Matt of Erie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Dale Stewart.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 2:00 - 4 :00 on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Justin Spurgin, Pastor of Messiah Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be at Brandon Cemetery.
