Shirley L. Foster Urey

Shirley L. Foster Urey, 74 of 407 7th St, Franklin, died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 in the Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Her death was a result of an auto accident on October 14, 2010. She was born in Franklin on December 21, 1935 a daughter of LeRoy and Idella Baker Foster.
Mrs. Urey was a homemaker and her main interest was her family especially her grandchildren and all their activities.
She was married to Lyle G. Urey Sr. on June 26, 1954 and he died on April 3, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Lyle G. Urey, Jr. and his wife Anita, Van; a daughter Debra L. Hesson and her husband James, Polk, four grandchildren, Kevin Hesson, Polk; Kelley Hesson, Franklin; Alyssa Urey and Dakota Urey, both of Van; a great-grandson, Kooper Montgomery, Franklin; two sisters Linda Nunemaker and her husband Herbert, Sheakleyville; Ruth Schlorff, Franklin; three brothers, Louis D. Foster and his wife Greta, Franklin; Terry Foster and his wife Cindy, Franklin; Larry Foster and h is wife Kathy, Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-grandson, Gunner Montgomery, two brothers, Robert Foster and Quay Foster, two sisters Donna Clark and Betty Jean Egan.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held in the First Church of God at 7th Street on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. James Leichliter pastor of the church officiating.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Renal Care of Oil City, 6945 US 322, Cranberry, PA 16319, Franklin or Cranberry Little League Associations; or the Franklin of Cranberry Girls Soft Ball Associations.
