Susan Sehman, 82, of 113 Beech Drive Franklin died at 6:05 a.m. Saturday January 8, 2011 at UPMC Northwest.
A daughter of Steven and Anna Stanko Bilo she was born in Monessen on August 30, 1928. She was a 1946 graduate of Monessen High School, where she met her future husband. On May 22, 1951 Susan married William H. Sehman. They moved to Franklin in 1957 and operated Sehman Tire Service. Susan worked as the bookkeeper. William died on February 22, 2004.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin. She was an avid reader and enjoyed solving the puzzles in the morning paper.
Surviving are two sons Larry Sehman and Jeffrey Sehman and his wife Karen both of Franklin; 3 grandchildren Ryan, Sean and Nicholas Sehman; a sister Anne Stasko of Uniontown and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Lofink, a brother Steven Bilo and an infant sister.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. Thursday with the Rev. Dale Francis, interim pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Her family has suggested memorials be made to the Venango County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Oil City PA 16301.
