Thomas H. Rose, 64 of 1419 Buffalo St. Franklin, died early Monday morning, February 28, 2011 in his home.
He was born in Franklin on April 19, 1946, a son of Carl and Helen Harton Rose.
Tom graduated from Franklin High School in 1964 and later attended the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville and Milton College. After this he began a career in the plastic industry as a salesman, winning many accolades for top salesman
He was heavily involved in the community through different boards and
committees during the 1980?s and travelled to his favorite destinations in
the 1990?s.
Tom was an avid fisherman in his younger years and a gourmet cook in
his later years. He would love to be known for his smoked turkey breast and
BBQ brisket.
He followed his father?s footsteps by becoming a member of the Franklin
Elks Lodge #110 in 1967 and has been a very active member. He was also a
a member of the Franklin Loyal Order of the Moose #83 and the Franklin
Fraternal Order of the Eagles #328.
Tom is survived by his loving daughter Lainya Dennett and her husband
Scott and two granddaughters Cosby and Marley Eakin of New Wales Australia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held in the Franklin Elks Lodge at a later date to be
announced.
The Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin is in charge of the
arrangements.
