Thomas William "Reb" Taylor Sr., 80, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at UPMC Northwest.
The son of the late Leonard and Genova Marsh Taylor, Reb was born on September 14, 1943 in Rivesville, West Virginia.
He proudly served in the United States Army 1st Battalion 229th Artillery.
He married his wife, the former Donna Cramer Taylor on July 13, 1988. Reb loved farming, hunting, and enjoyed going to car shows with his '79 gold Ford truck. He also spent time planting in his garden.
Surviving Reb is his wife, Donna Taylor, and his children, Thomas (Barbara) Taylor of Franklin, and Sandra Taylor and her fiancé Larry Maul of Oil City. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Shannon (Justin) Purich, Travis (Krystal) Taylor, Curtis (Nichelle) Taylor, Justin Winger, Jessica Taylor, Kayla (Andrew) Boal, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, Asher Burrows; one step-granddaughter, Ashley Jarzenski of Cooperstown; Brother Charles (Twila) Taylor of Stoneboro; Step-daughter Vicki (James) Jarzenski of Cochranton and Kevin Confer of Franklin.
Additionally surviving is a sister in-law Pat (Paul) Reeseman and brother in-law Lani (Debbie) Cramer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Howard Rogers, a brother, Leonard Taylor, a sister, Susan Taylor, grandson, Johnathon Taylor, step-grandson, James Jarzenski, and his mother and father in-law.
There will be no services.
Reb will be laid to rest at Peters Cemetery.
