William Edward Griffen

William E. Griffen Jr., 47, of 703 Sugarcreek Drive died at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday November 18, 2009 at Sharon Regional Hospital.
A son of William E. and Carol Strain Griffen he was born in Oil City on February 27, 1962. He was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
Bill enjoyed dirt track car racing, hunting and fishing as his health permitted. He also enjoyed hanging out with his garage buddies and enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren. He had a fondness for Ford trucks.
Survivors include his life partner Becky Crawford, three daughters Tara Woods, Chelsie Griffen and Billy Jo Griffen, a son Nathan Crawford, three grandchildren Ian Joseph, Addison and Dravin. Also surviving are his mother Carol Griffen of Franklin, two sisters Gayle Davis and her husband Tony of Reynoldsville, WV, Susan Blair and her husband Dennis of Franklin, two brothers Scott and Cory Griffen both of Franklin and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Jonathon Bell, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
