William J. "Bill" Hines Sr.

William J. "Bill" Hines, Sr., 91, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, June 13 at the Caring Place. 

The son of John and Ruby Hines, Bill was born on December 31, 1932 in Stoneboro. 

 He was a graduate of the former Stoneboro High School. 

 In his early years, Bill worked for the highway department. He later worked many years at Joy Manufacturing until his retirement in 2000. 

 Surviving Bill are his wife, Janice Davis Hines, and his eight children; Jennifer Winkler (Peter) of Franklin, William Hines Jr. (Rebecca) of Franklin, Elizabeth Gahr (Michael) of Franklin, Robert Hines (Robin) of Middleburg, FL, Damien Hines (Kelly) of Franklin, Richard Hines (Courtney) of Franklin, Brian Liddy (Jennifer) of Franklin, and Michael Quen (Victoria) of Franklin. Also left to cherish Bill's memory are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a number of loved foster children. 

 Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John Hines, and his sister, Virginia Amos. 

 There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Morrison Hines Cemetery.
